Or the Daimler DS420 of the King of Sweden (don't worry, he has an S80 for daily purposes...)
Anyways, check out !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! and share what you think is the most esoteric or most Jalop! (It's actually rather interesting how many ride in S80s...)

Well, Stephen Harper (Prime Minister of Canada) sometimes drives around in his Sienna. I think that's the most Jalop.

Die Germans can just ride around in a Mercedes Maybach, lucky bastards

Usually a C6 or a DS5. When Sarkozy got elected in 2007, because he loves to show off, he used a Peugeot 607 Landaulet for a parade.

When the queen comes to visit she gets Lincoln Towncar.
Prime minister gets a Cadillac DTS.

Angela Merkel switches between Audi, BMW and Mercedes so as not to show a personal preference for any of the brands. no Maybach's, just a "regular" S600's, 7-series or A8's.

Former President as of March the 1st.
Current President is way less cool.

Joachim Gauck seems to primarily use 7-Series, though he may switch around too. Choosing an official car is much easier for the British.

Still, lucky her. Clarkson once wrote a Top Gear column in which he talked about this very subject, bringing up the fact that Obama could just be driven around in an M1A2 Abrams.

his driver hit a cyclist a few years back in a BMW.. though that might have been pre-Presidency.
british, Rolls or Jag? I think they alternate too. The Queen has a Rolls, Bentley, Jag and a Landy from memory.

at least he gets the front seat

They're all in the fleet - might still be a few Daimlers and Rovers, too. But, the two Bentley State Limousines built in 2002 are the "No. 1 State Car" - the primary cars used for official occasions. The rest are essentially just utilitarian transportation.

How about:
Hideous, but very Italian (and personally I don't think it's that bad...)
![]() 04/07/2015 at 00:10 |

True, any high power official who roams about in their own daily vehicle is worthy of recognition.
![]() 04/07/2015 at 00:12 |

That thing is rather hideous but also very French...I would rather have a stretched C6 than that Peugeot abomination...
I mean, look at the rear...

How very American.

Doesn't the current president have a Quattroporte or something?
![]() 04/07/2015 at 00:14 |

Well, if you're British, you have to choose between Jaguar, Bentley, and Rolls Royce

my PM Abbott has an armoured 7-series now. much whinging and moaning was had that he didn't get another Holden. "you can't really get them anymore" was his excuse. which is fair I suppose.

Has a Toyota Seinna as well so its not completely biased.
( not said toyota seinna )

Well, technically that's American too...(later versions of the Town Car were assembled in Ontario, however,...)

That is not an expected choice...good find!

The C6 was built solely for this purpose.

No, he just uses normal, executive-type saloons. The boring type.

I still hate him. That aside, here our officials are able to do that. I don't believe there has been a single Canadian prime minister assassinated, and I can only think of two attempts in more recent times.

Seems pretty common, though since Australia I would have expected a Holden...
![]() 04/08/2015 at 03:36 |

Holden put in 2 tenders last time around along with the usual suspects and BMW was the pick.
sadly :(

Maybe that's why they're going out of production... :P
